North defeated at Bishop McNamara

On Friday, September 4, the Varsity Tigers lost at Bishop McNamara in a tough fought game against a strong offense at a score of 14-17. Senior Zach Jarosz scored both touchdowns for the Tigers, both of which were receiving touchdowns thrown by quarterback J.D. Ekowa. The Tigers defense slowed down a D1 bound running back to less than 100 yards.  One of Bishop McNamara’s scores came from an interception returned for a touchdown.

Although a loss for the tigers, there were some positives with the tigers defense. Timothy Donahue had his second consecutive week making eight tackles, four of them being solo tackles. The team also had two sacks for a loss of nineteen yards. After the game, Coach Kane had this to say “The kids played a hard and battled until the end.”
