With the fast approach of spooky season Six Flags Great America has started it’s annual Fright Fest guaranteeing a fun, thrilling experience to the public.

Fright Fest presents a truly frightening evening of fun as the sun goes down. The park does an amazing job of completely transforming the look and experience during the fall season.

When the sun goes down, the living dead are awoken throughout Six Flags ready to bring on the fear factor. Scary at your own risk.

Great America theme parks have a variety of locations and pass deals available to the public. When purchasing park tickets individuals can buy a day pass for about 54 dollars or a season pass for about 72 dollars which they can use all the way through the end of the six flags season.

Fright Fest started on Sept. 14 and will be open till Nov. 3. For Fright Fest people dress up and will attempt to scare park goers as they walk around. The park still has their rides open, but they open up Halloween themed attractions.

New to fright fest this year, Six Flags has added ‘Curs3d’, a vampire horror musical and Medieval Mayhem, a new haunted zone. During the fright fest hours there are six haunted attractions, four scary zones, six terrifying shows and tons of thrilling rides.

The event originated in St.Louis in 1988 with Freddy Kruger as the host of the Friday night fright fests. Great America parks all over quickly picked up the spooky event.

Today six flags remains a thrilling and family friendly amusement park during the spring, summer and fall seasons. During the fright fest season they do a good job of balancing a family friendly day time and a night time of horror.
