Hennessey record breaking school numbers are what makes him the historic wrestler to the school. 44-0 undefeated record most wins in the school. 28 pins this seasons 81 in his four year career. 41 out of 44 matches which only three went to the third round. [Hennessey is the]  “First male athlete to win state, second wrestler to ever be a state place,” Athletic Director Ron Lear said. This accomplishment means more to Hennessey for all the hard work and having to get up and keep going. “He has been the face of the wrestling program, and I am so proud of Matthew for him and his family worked so hard. It’s an honor for me and Mr. Draper to see him win, and I know he’s going to be a success in life,” Lear said.
