The Plainfield North Art Department held its 10th annual art show during April with many students artwork showcased.

“Every year we put on the art show to show off all the art students work, every student participates,” said Peter Quimby, Art Teacher.

With so few students taking art this year it was the smallest show in school history.

“This was the smallest show in the 10 years of having art shows, but the quality of art was still present,” said Quimby.

The art department also competed in two art competitions in the past weeks, the SPC Conference competition and the JJC competition.

“We had a few students earn certificates and awards at the separate competitions,” said Quimby.

At the SPC competition four students earned certificates for their works, a student earned an award at JJC for their work.

“Freshman Erika Long earned 3rd place in her category of colored drawing,” said Quimby.
