The Girls’ Volleyball team opened up Conference play on Tuesday in their home game against Oswego East. The team was coming into this after a successful tournament held by Champaign Centennial. The team won in three games, losing the first one then winning the next two.

Some players on the team were out of their normal rotation with an injury to Sophomore Maddie Dieter last week in their first home game. Some notables was that usual Libero, Senior Aleezah Washington, played outside hitter, Junior Amy Stumpf, on the JV Team, moved up to play Libero, and Sophomore Elaina Speas went from outside to middle for last night’s game.

“We didn’t really come out as strong as we should have and ended up losing the first game, but we fought back in the second to take it to here. We then pushed hard to win and playe really good in the third game,” said Captain Lauren Robeck.
